7 Fuentes is the result of the assembling of several plantations on clay loam volcanic soils with diverse orientation, where altitude varies from 400 (1.312 ft.) to 650 metres (2.132 ft.) above sea level. Main grape variety is Listán Negro followed by Tintilla and Listán Blanco. Vineyards age varies in every plot, from five years in plot Las Terrazas to a hundred years in plot El Barranco. Old vineyards are grown with traditional "cordon" conduction system while young ones are placed in telegraph system.
A blend of Cinsault, Shiraz , Grenache, Mourvedre and Pinotage. The aromas are perfumed, peppery, spicy, smokey and exhibit ripe red fruit notes. Supple texture, smooth but with enough grip to provide a dry finish.
The first vintage of this Pinot noir was in 1979. Our objective in producing this wine has always been a classic, intense and elegant wine that pairs well with the foods we like to eat. By blending the diverse flavors and textures of multiple vineyards, clones and elevations, we produce a richly supple and focused wine that typifies what Pinot noir can achieve each vintage in the northern Willamette Valley.
Red fruits and spice on the nose. Fruity palate combined with soft tannins, for a plump and supple finish. Organic, with no use of chemical fertilisation. This would partner cured meat, non-mature cheese, grilled red meat, roast poultry, and marinades.
Deep ruby red in colour, with perfumes of cherry and black forest gateau. This wine has good body and an ageing potential of at least ten years. It has a smooth and velvety character, with mature, pulpy fruit character and delicious raisin flavours.
Deep ruby in colour with a lovely cherry pie perfume. On the palate it has perfectly balanced fresh and baked cherry fruit characters, also restrained acidity which lifts the ripe fruit and great length with a touch of spice on the finish.
Light, bright red. Spicy red berries and cherry on the nose, with earthy notes adding complexity. Black raspberry, bitter cherry and sweet spice flavours are met with soft tannins and beautifully balanced acidity. Sweeter on the finish, which leaves candied cherry and rose notes behind.
Medium ruby red colour with typical varietal aromas including strawberries, raspberries, fresh blood plums and cranberries with hints of rosemary and thyme. A burst of fruit on the palate leads way into velvety tannins balanced by a fresh acidity and a long lasting, delicately spicy finish.
An elegant, full-bodied palate displays flavours of red fruits and dark chocolate, combined with mint, a hint of eucalypt and notable fine-grained and supple tannins. The nose shows bright red fruit with balsamic notes, along with integrated and harmonious spicy oak characters.
This Marlborough Pinot Noir is fresh and vibrant with soft tannins and good length. It has intense primary fruit characters of blackberry and bramble on the nose with a smoky, earthy undertone on the palate. This is a warm, vibrant, well-structured Pinot.
