The first vintage of this Pinot noir was in 1979. Our objective in producing this wine has always been a classic, intense and elegant wine that pairs well with the foods we like to eat. By blending the diverse flavors and textures of multiple vineyards, clones and elevations, we produce a richly supple and focused wine that typifies what Pinot noir can achieve each vintage in the northern Willamette Valley.
Red fruits and spice on the nose. Fruity palate combined with soft tannins, for a plump and supple finish. Organic, with no use of chemical fertilisation. This would partner cured meat, non-mature cheese, grilled red meat, roast poultry, and marinades.
Deep ruby red in colour, with perfumes of cherry and black forest gateau. This wine has good body and an ageing potential of at least ten years. It has a smooth and velvety character, with mature, pulpy fruit character and delicious raisin flavours.
Deep ruby in colour with a lovely cherry pie perfume. On the palate it has perfectly balanced fresh and baked cherry fruit characters, well moderated acidity which lifts the ripe fruit and great length with a touch of spice on the finish.
Light, bright red. Spicy red berries and cherry on the nose, with hints of underbrush and dried flowers adding complexity. Musky, tightly wound black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors are framed by dusty tannins and given spine by tangy minerality. Sweeter on the finish, which leaves candied cherry and rose notes behind.
